The Golden Retriever Rescue Fund

In addition to financial support for veterinary care, Rescue organizations often need help covering legal start-up costs, equipment, kennels, and public education. Donations to the Rescue Fund help to assure that all aspects of Rescue work move forward smoothly and that old-white-faced Goldens and special needs dogs are not put down just because it may take longer to find them permanent homes. Gifts to the general Rescue Fund also help Rescue groups deal with young dogs that need discipline and training before they can be successfully placed with a new family.

The GRF provides several types of financial assistance: April Fund grants have a cap of $400 per dog; Rescue Fund Small Grants have a cap of $3,000; Rescue Fund Large Grants have a cap of $15,000; Emergency Grants for Natural Disasters have a cap of $4,000 and those for Puppy Mill closures have a cap of $1,000. Full details may be found under Types of Grants.
