ANNOUNCEMENT…..SAVE THE DATE
GRF Health
Symposium
April
4-6, 2008
The
Golden Retriever Foundation (GRF),
is planning a comprehensive
HEALTH SYMPOSIUM.
The symposium will be held in
Northern Colorado
on the weekend of
April 4-6, 2008.
The symposium will focus
on improving the health and wellness of purebred dogs through
education and exchange of information. GRF is sponsoring this
event in celebration of our tenth anniversary, as an avenue to
acknowledge the contributions of our generous donors and
continue to support & encourage collaborative animal cancer &
health research.
The GRF Health symposium
will bring together canine health professionals, purebred dog
fanciers and breeders along with dog lovers of all interests
(conformation, agility, field, herding, obedience, tracking
etc…). GRF is following the precedent set in previous
successful symposiums held in 2004 and 2005 in Northern Colorado
which brought these groups together in a collaborative,
educational and supportive atmosphere.
The symposium will have
classes/sessions/lectures focusing on canine health/medicine,
husbandry, breeding practices, nutrition, exercise, including
traditional and alternative disciplines that support the well
being and performance of purebred dogs.
Along
with this announcement is an invitation to all dog fanciers,
clubs and organizations to participate in planning and attending
this event. Past sponsors of the health symposium
have included
Buckhorn
Valley KC, Mile- Hi Golden Retriever Club, Roaring Fork KC and
Colorado Kennel Club. The GRF wishes to
acknowledge BVKC as our Friday evening welcome-party hosts at
this event! Come join the fun!
